For most countries, the summer transfer window has now come to an end. Anyone in the Premier League can now only add players if they are free agents and were made free agents before the closing of the transfer window on September 1st. That doesn’t mean players can’t leave, though; the football transfer windows in Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar are still open. Teams hoping to offload unwanted players still have a channel to do so. For Tottenham Hotspur, they look to have done just that with two players who should be joining the same club in Turkey.

Tottenham’s Tanguy Ndombele and Davinson Sanchez both set for Galatasaray move

Both rumours reported by Fabrizio Romano, Tanguy Ndombele and Davinson Sanchez are both heading to Turkish SuperLig side Galatasaray. Ndombele will be joining on loan for the season, while Davinson Sanchez’s move will be a permanent transfer. Ndombele’s loan does hold a buy-option at the season’s end, and he has already completed a part of his Galatasaray medical. Sanchez’s move is also in the final stages.

Ndombele spent last season on loan at Napoli in Serie A, who won the league title for the first time since 1990. The French midfielder joined Spurs in 2019 for an initial fee worth £55.5m. At the time, it was the club’s record transfer at the time and with add-ons included, it still stands as their record fee. Funny enough, Ndombele broke Tottenham’s record transfer fee that was held by Davinson Sanchez at the time. Sanchez joined the club in 2017, and while he has gone on to play a lot of matches, it’s fair to say he hasn’t exactly lived up to the hype he once held at Ajax.

Sky Sports report that Tottenham are comfortable selling Sanchez outside of their own transfer window as youngster Ashley Phillips, who’s joined from Blackburn, will be integrated into their first team.
