Jadon Sancho’s career at Manchester United is yet to kick off. He was a revelation at Dortmund and that is why United paid close to £73m to sign him. From the beginning, he was a flop. When Erik ten Hag took charge of the team, many players improved notably Marcus Rashford. Jadon Sancho also showed glimmers of hope. However, he was still unable to perform at the level everyone saw him at Dortmund. Ten Hag even helped him to recover from the issues he was suffering. He integrated him quite nicely into the team. However, after the loss against Arsenal, the tension between Jadon Sancho and Erik ten Hag came to the fore.

Jadon Sancho’s statement after the Manchester United manager’s comments

Erik ten Hag was asked in the post-match press conference after the loss against Arsenal why Jadon Sancho was missing from the Manchester United squad. Ten Hag replied by saying that he was left out because of his performance on the pitch. After that, Jadon Sancho made a statement saying that what was being said about him was not true and the reason for his dropping was a different matter. He was getting treated as a ‘scapegoat’ by the manager. Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano also confirmed the tension between Sancho and Ten Hag.

Manchester United could take disciplinary action against Jadon Sancho

Erik ten Hag has not backed off from his statement and he is standing his ground. The Manchester United manager believes that he had stated clearly and has nothing new to add. Now, this could be the end of Jadon Sancho at Man Utd. Ten Hag is ruthless against indiscipline and no matter who you are, he will be strict. He showed that with Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcus Rashford in the past. Thus, according to Manchester Evening News, Sancho might face disciplinary action for his statement on Sunday.
