The mood surrounding Manchester United fans this morning won’t be a good one. Of course, losing a derby against your long-time rivals Arsenal is never easy to take, but particularly in the manner Erik ten Hag’s side lost yesterday.

Unfortunately for the Dutch manager, his decision-making yesterday was poor. Not only was new signing Rasmus Hojlund unable to deal with the physical demands of the Premier League, but he also ended the match by conceding two late goals after bringing on Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans. No matter how you word it, it doesn’t look good.

But a decision which went overlooked until after the match was to leave Jadon Sancho out of the squad completely. Admittedly, United could’ve done with more attacking firepower, but they didn’t have the 23-year-old England international to call upon.

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has harsh advice for Jadon Sancho

Sancho has already spoken about the situation and defended himself. Admittedly, he didn’t reveal his opinion on being left out too much, but he did defend himself by claiming that he’s working hard, after being accused of not fighting for his spot in the team.

But one Manchester United legend has some advice for Sancho, and it might be a hard one for fans to digest. Rio Ferdinand, former United defender who is now a pundit, has insisted that Jadon Sancho has two cut-throat options: either he moves to Saudi Arabia, or he allows himself to be frozen out by Erik ten Hag.

Furthermore in the report by the Daily Mail, Rio believes that Sancho has been working hard, or at least the player must believe he’s worked hard and deserves a spot in the team in order for him to speak out like that.

What do you think of Rio’s advice to Sancho, Manchester United fans?
