Man United have struggled lately in the Champions League. So, when the draw happened, United were in pot 2 and they found themselves in the tricky Group A with a European heavyweight. The first team that was drawn in Group A was Bayern Munich. They are the German champions and former 6-time champions of this competition. They recently signed Harry Kane and he is in a red-hot form. Also, whenever Manchester United and Bayern Munich face off, it becomes a mouth-watering clash. Thus, when Thomas Tuchel and Erik ten Hag meet in two group stage matches, it will be nothing short of drama and entertainment. Also, it will be a homecoming for Erik ten Hag as well when he takes his Man United team to Munich.
F.C. Copenhagen
F.C. Copenhagen was drawn from the third pot in the draw. Manchester United fans would have been hoping for a tie that they could win surely. It was important given the fact that the tie against Bayern will be a very tough one for the Red Devils. Now, with Copenhagen in the mix, Man Utd can hope to get six points against the Danish team and help themselves in their quest to make it to the Round of 16 in the Champions League.
Galatasaray
The Turkish champions Galatasaray will be the fourth team in Group A. This is one tie that Manchester United can certainly look to win. Yes, United can beat Galatasaray as they have an upper hand whenever these two teams have met in the past. Therefore, Man Utd fans should be happy that they got Galatasaray in the group and it makes Bayern and Man United favourites to qualify for the Round of 16 of the Champions League 2023/24.
