Liverpool have strengthened heavily in their midfield this summer transfer window. After their strong finish to the season last time out, they would like to bolster their squad after losing some important midfield players. Having already signed three midfielders, Jurgen Klopp would like to bring in another addition.

According to an important update from Fabrizio Romano, they are one step closer to signing their dream midfielder. Romano states that Liverpool have informed Bayern Munich they have an official bid for Ryan Gravenberch prepared. This information is likely out of respect to Bayern, so they can shortlist a replacement in time.

Further, Romano claims that the player would like the move to Liverpool to happen. Now, all that is pending is the green light from Bayern Munich, as they need to find a replacement first.

Gravenberch has been the talk of the summer. The talented midfielder is surplus to requirements at Bayern Munich, meaning he would make a great addition for any club that needs to bring in midfield talent.

Liverpool play in the Europa League this season, so bolstering their options and improving their midfield depth in particular is of utmost importance. This position has been neglected in past transfer windows, which is no fault of Klopp’s, but now he must rectify that.

Bringing in Gravenberch before gameweek 4 of the 2023/24 Premier League campaign would be a great bonus. Currently, the Reds sit fourth in the table, even after some adversity early in the season. Ideally, they would like a title charge, but they’ll settle for improvement with a top four finish.
