As the transfer deadline day is only a day away, there is expected to be plenty of action from the Premier League. One of the main talking points from the English top flight this summer has been Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp’s men have strengthened heavily, while also losing some important players.

Jurgen Klopp never has the easiest time in the transfer window. When dealing with a board that prefers a self-sustained method of finances, it can be difficult to keep up with the clubs around you in this modern era of big investments and financial takeovers.

Jurgen Klopp would be “furious” with Liverpool board for selling Mohamed Salah

One thing that Liverpool absolutely must avoid at all costs, though, is losing their key player Mohamed Salah. A few weeks ago this seemed like nothing to worry about but we know that Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad are very much interested in signing Mohamed Salah. The latest on that story being that they are preparing a £118m for Salah, as per the Daily Mail.

Well, according to Star, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp would be “furious” if the Anfield hierarchy is tempted into selling Salah at this price, or any price. Of course, Jurgen Klopp has already stated that no money should tempt Liverpool into selling their superstar, so to have his word ignored by the board could be the tipping point for catastrophe.

I don’t report this to invoke fear. We must deal with the facts that the bid has not been submitted, and the board’s stance is unclear. Certainly, from an opinionated view, the board would be silly to sell Salah at any stage in the transfer window, let alone this late on.

Salah has started the season well, with Liverpool sitting fourth. In three matches, he has started every one and scored a goal while providing two assists. Not a bad return for a player linked with a big move away.

Where do you think Mohamed Salah will play this season?
