There are three things which are inevitable in life – Death, taxes and Chelsea spending a fortune in the transfer window.

This summer has been no different, as Mauricio Pochettino has been treated to a plethora of talent for his first season in charge. Big signings such as Moises Caicedo have been made, while there have been some signings for the future. But Todd Boehly isn’t done there.

Chelsea in contact with Corinthians for Gabriel Moscardo

According to the transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have presented a formal bid to Corinthians for their 17-year-old wonderkid Gabriel Moscardo. However, the Brazil club wants €25m, which would be their club record sale, if they are to let go of Moscardo.

Chelsea must weigh up this investment – As that’s exactly what Moscardo would be, an investment. He isn’t likely to walk into the Chelsea team anytime soon, so he’ll likely be sent out on loan or used in the cup fixtures.

From the player’s perspective, he will definitely get an ego boost from receiving such prestige interests at a young age. However, if he’s level-headed enough and his mind is in the right place, he could use this ego boost to his advantage by training ten times harder to succeed.

Whatever happens, it will be a busy couple of days for Chelsea. They would like to bring in a new offensive signing before the transfer window comes to a close. As if they haven’t signed enough players already, Todd Boehly will be involved in negotiations in the next two days.

Who do you think Chelsea will sign next?
