Aston Villa have had a very good transfer window so far. Bringing in some great signings such as Youri Tielemans, Pau Torres, Nicolo Zaniolo and Moussa Diaby, as well as keeping ahold of their best players, sets Unai Emery in good stead for the season ahead.

They have won their last two games, after losing the opening fixture in the Premier League. Therefore, it’s been a good start to the season overall. Furthermore, Aston Villa got off to winning ways in their opening Europa Conference League fixture. Unai Emery is the master of Europa competitions, so he’ll be hopeful to continue this fine run of form.

But before deadline day approaches, there is one important thing which Unai Emery must fix. And that is the future of Philippe Coutinho.

The Brazil international is subject to a move away, as he is widely recognised as one of the most talented attackers in the game. It just hasn’t worked out for him since he originally left Liverpool, so he is hoping to make a name for himself in a different league.

According to an update from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Aston Villa have been approached by Real Betis and Besiktas over the signing of Philippe Coutinho.

It’s thought that terms with the club won’t be an issue as Aston Villa are open to the sale, it just depends what Coutinho would like to do. If he has a greater chance of game time elsewhere, it would be logical for Coutinho to leave and pursue that.
