Arsenal will host Manchester United on Sunday in gameweek 4 of the 2023/24 Premier League campaign. Both sides have had good starts to the season, with United on 6 points out of 9 and Arsenal on 7 points out of 9. With both sides seeking a win, here’s my Arsenal predicted lineup ahead of the big fixture.

Arsenal predicted lineup vs Manchester United

In goal, the choice is obvious. Aaron Ramsdale is the man for the big occasion, so his spot won’t be taken. Ahead of him in the defence is where things become complicated.

Gabriel, who is one of Arsenal’s best players, has not featured as a starter this season. However, due to the magnitude of this fixture, surely it’s time for this to change. Therefore, I am going to predict the two centre backs to be William Saliba and Gabriel – A proven strategy. They will be partnered on either flank by Oleksandr Zinchenko and Thomas Partey.

There is expected to be one change in the midfield three, as Havertz isn’t in the best form. Fabio Vieira deserves to take his place, as he was the game changer in the last match against Fulham. Of course, the big money signing Declan Rice and captain Martin Odegaard will keep their spots.

Last time out, Arteta trialled Trossard as a striker. The less said about that the better, as there’s a reason for the half time change. This time, despite Jesus returning to fitness, Eddie Nketiah should be trusted as a striker. He’s had a good start to the season.

The two spots on the wing are easy, so I’m not going out on a limb by saying that Bukayo Saka should start on the right and Gabriel Martinelli on the left.

Arsenal predicted lineup: Ramsdale; Partey, Gabriel, Saliba, Zinchenko; Rice, Odegaard (c), Vieira; Saka, Nketiah, Martinelli
