As the transfer window draws towards its final hours, Man Utd transfer news and rumours are appearing thick and fast. Manchester United wants to sign another midfielder before the transfer deadline, and their priority is undoubtedly Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina.
The Moroccan midfielder grabbed the attention of the entire football world after stellar performances for his country in the FIFA World Cup 2022. Erik ten Hag has made him his priority and Manchester United will do everything to get him before the end of the window.
Amrabat rejects Forest as he only wants Manchester United
As per the latest reports from various sources and especially, Alfredo Pedullà, the Italian journalist who has been spot-on about Onana and Hojlund, Nottingham Forest agreed a fee with Fiorentina for Sofyan Amrabat. But the player rejected the deal as he is focused solely on Man United.
However, Manchester United is yet to submit their first bid for the player, according to Fabrizio Romano. The player also stopped training with Fiorentina. He has been waiting for Man Utd since the start of June. Things are expected to escalate in the final hours of the transfer market.
Manchester United could sign Amrabat on loan
David Ornstein, one of the most renowned transfer journalists, reported today that Manchester United wants to sign Sofyan Amrabat as he is their top target. Bayern Munich player Ryan Gravenberch is also an option for United that they can explore, as Ten Hag knows the player.
However, Man Utd can only get Amrabat on a loan deal because of the FPP. Also, Amrabat’s contract with Fiorentina ends next year. The club has an option to extend the contract till 2025. Yet, if United can get him on loan this summer and next year, Amrabat refuses to extend the contract for another year, Man Utd can have their player for free.
So, Man United fans, do you think Amrabat will be a United player after the end of the transfer widow? Let us know in the comments!
