Chelsea have had a bad start to the season. Despite making a tonne of transfers and bringing in the world-class manager Mauricio Pochettino, they haven’t made an improvement on last season. And before anybody says it, moving from 12th to 10th, as hilarious as that might be, is not a significant improvement.

With a couple of days remaining in the transfer window, it’s bound to be a busy one for Chelsea. Not only do they have a squad the size of an army, they’re also likely to sign more players who they haven’t scouted. Either way, expect many more Chelsea transfer stories; more than I have time to report, actually.

Chelsea receive an inquiry from Bayern Munich for Conor Gallagher

In the latest reports, midfielder Conor Gallagher has been linked with a move to join his international teammate Harry Kane at Bayern Munich. According to talkSPORT, Chelsea have received an inquiry from Bayern about signing Gallagher. Further, Trevoh Chalobah is open to joining the Bavarian giants.

Conor Gallagher is an important player for Chelsea. He is reliable and turns up when he’s called upon. While he might not be a sure starter every game, he is loved by both Mauricio Pochettino and the fans.

However, it might be the fact that he isn’t a sure starter which will convince him to join Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga champions are set to lose Ryan Gravenberch, most likely to the Premier League, so there is an opening for Gallagher to fill within the squad.

Bayern Munich is tipped to win the Bundesliga again this season (obviously). Even with the Harry Kane trophy curse, the fact that Bayern Munich are the only team in Germany capable of winning the league will outweigh that. Therefore, it’s a perfect opportunity for Gallagher to learn from some of the best in the world.

Where do you think Conor Gallagher will play this season?
