Liverpool have made it abundantly clear that they don’t plan to sell any of their important players in the closing days of the summer transfer window. Given how long it takes the board and recruitment team to finalise transfers, this is a wise idea from the manager Jurgen Klopp.

However, this isn’t going to stop interested clubs from testing Liverpool’s resolve. Hard to refuse offers are expected to come into Anfield Stadium, so whether or not Klopp sticks true to his word remains to be seen.

Al-Ittihad want to bring Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool teammate to Saudi Arabia

We reported earlier today that Liverpool expected a big bid to come in from Saudi Arabia for their most important player Mohamed Salah. Well, the same club Al-Ittihad won’t stop there, as they are also seeking the signing of another important Anfield star.

According to the world’s most trusted source Fabrizio Romano, Joe Gomez is very high on Al-Ittihad’s shortlist of potential defenders. They see him as a versatile option who would bolster their squad, despite Liverpool’s insistence they won’t sell this late on.

Joe Gomez is a pivotal player. Although he is yet to start a match for Liverpool this season, he is due to become important to Jurgen Klopp since Virgil Van Dijk picked up that red card vs Newcastle and will be suspended.

Whether or not Klopp is willing to listen to this potential offer remains to be seen but one thing’s for sure, Al-Ittihad must be quick about it.
