Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is still very much active in the transfer window, as he seeks yet another midfielder to sign. It would appear that making wholesale changes in this position with three midfielders signed already isn’t enough.

Granted, the suspension for Alexis Mac Allister recently being overturned does help as it could’ve looked worse for Klopp. The World Cup winner picked up a red card for his challenge in the recent match against Bournemouth. It was initially granted a three game ban but only recently, the FA announced this would be overturned. Good news for Klopp.

But still, the German boss remains irritated by the midfield situation. With players in this position ageing and leaving the club, it has left the board constrained to only focusing on midfield signings. Still, the need must be met.

Liverpool face rejection in their opening bid for Andre

According to a new report from ESPN, though, their pursuit of Fluminese midfielder Andre has come to a halt. It’s reported that the Brazilian club has turned down the opening bid from Liverpool, which was thought to be £25.6m, due to not wanting to let their player go before their season ends in December.

This is not usually the case when operating in the European market, as most leagues have only just begun by the time the summer transfer window ends. However, this is a complication which Liverpool must accept as they failed to operate within the Brazilian market.

There are other options for Liverpool. Let’s not forget that they are soon to enter a battle with Manchester United for the signing of Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich. Furthermore, they have shown a keen interest in signing Kalvin Phillips of Manchester City in recent days. Therefore, no need to panic.

Who do you think Liverpool will sign before the transfer window closes?
