Roy Hodgson has had a mixed start to the 2023/24 Premier League campaign. The Crystal Palace boss won his opening game of the season, before harshly losing to Arsenal despite immense pressure towards the end of the match.

Still, for a team who hopes to break into the top half of the table, they’ve had a good start to the season and have done well to keep some of their best players. Still, Hodgson is hungry to strengthen his team even more, so will use the remainder of the transfer window to do just that.

Crystal Palace interested in signing Kelechi Iheanacho

According to a new report from Leicestershire Live, striker Kelechi Iheanacho who plays for Leicester in the Championship, has emerged as a top target for Crystal Palace.

This would be a fantastic opportunity for the 26-year-old, who showed fine spells of form last season despite the relegation, to return to his best. As he enters the prime stages of his career, he would ideally like to be playing in one of the best leagues in the world, something he is capable of.

In all honesty, I’m surprised he hasn’t been the centre of more transfer news this summer. As a Premier League side, Iheanacho could provide a lot if signed.

Formerly a wonderkid at Manchester City, who would’ve probably been a regular starter had it not been for the legend Sergio Aguero, Iheanacho’s career hasn’t gone as planned. As stated, it’s not his fault Leicester were relegated last season, but he’ll be excited by this news.

Starting off life in the Championship, Leicester have won all three of their matches, but Iheanacho is yet to have a goal contribution despite two of the matches. Time will tell if he’s able to play another match for Leicester before Palace swoops in.
