Erik ten Hag has some serious decisions to ponder before his plan to execute some more signings in the transfer window. According to ESPN, the plan for Manchester United is to sign a midfielder and a goalkeeper, but first he must trim his squad. With that in mind, here are the three players I expect to be sold and the two I expect to be signed.

Manchester United must trim their squad before more Erik ten Hag signings

Odisseas Vlachodimos (signed)

We reported yesterday that Manchester United were keen to sign Odisseas Vlachodimos, as Erik ten Hag has become aware of the conditions they must meet to sign the Benfica goalkeeper. He would be good backup to Andre Onana

Ryan Gravenberch (signed)

Manchester United are involved in a battle with Liverpool to sign Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich. If the decision is with the player, then surely he must choose the Champions League-competing team.

Dean Henderson (sold)

It looks inevitable that Dean Henderson will be sold, which is why Erik ten Hag is looking to bring in a goalkeeper in the first place. Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be for the talented goalkeeper at Old Trafford.

Eric Bailly (sold)

Honestly, I was only reminded the other day that Eric Bailly was still a United player. United will certainly listen to offers for the defender who is not in contention for a place under Erik ten Hag.

Donny van de Beek (sold)

Again, it wasn’t to be for Donny van de Beek at Manchester United, even given the arrival of his countryman Erik ten Hag. He will, unfortunately, go down as an Old Trafford flop, as he’s never truly looked like competing for a place in the starting eleven on a consistent enough basis.

Who do you think will be sold and signed to complete Erik ten Hag’s summer transfer window?
