West Ham will soon announce the signing of Konstantinos Mavropanos

Great news for West Ham fans, as reported by the trusted transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. Posting to X, the journalist confirmed that all of the final documents had been transferred between West Ham and Stuttgart for the Premier League experienced defender Konstantinos Mavropanos. The ex-Arsenal man will be confirmed and announced soon.

This is great news for West Ham fans as they are signing a defender who has lived in London before and is perfectly adapted to play the David Moyes way. He is colossal and isn’t afraid to get stuck in when needed, oftentimes putting his body on the line to protect his keeper.

With Nayef Aguerd facing a suspension given his recent red card against Chelsea, this signing has been quick and efficient, meaning that should West Ham need Mavropanos to step in, he will be able to.

David Moyes’ intentions in the transfer window have been clear for a long time. He has wanted to bring in a new defender, one which suits his style of play. It was tought that Harry Maguire would be the best option, however, talks with the former Manchester United captain soon fell through.

No need to panic, though, as the Greek will soon arrive at a much fairer price than Maguire. Furthermore, Mavropanos is yet to hit his peak, ageing at just 25 years old which is still relatively young for a defender. I’m certain David Moyes will get the best out of him during these peak years.

What do you make of this signing, West Ham fans?
