Brighton transfer news – Close to signing Carlos Baleba

Things have been relatively quiet on the transfer front since Brighton finally sold Moises Caicedo to Chelsea (probably because they look better without him). However, recent news indicates that manager Roberto De Zerbi is keen to use that money wisely.

According to an update from talkSPORT, Brighton and Hove Albion are close to completing the signing of Carlos Baleba from Lille. The 19-year-old from Cameroon is set to cost the Seagulls £25m – A fee which seems measly given how much they scammed Chelsea for Caicedo.

Brighton transfer news – Tottenham interested in Ernest Nuamah

Now, there is some negative transfer news for Brighton. They also planned to bring in a new young forward (as if they don’t have enough already), however, they have suffered a blow with one particular chase.

According to Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspur are preparing a bid for the striker Ernest Nuamah, who is also wanted by Roberto De Zerbi at Brighton.

Brighton transfer news – Arsenal eye big deal for Evan Ferguson

Finally, this is more a deal for the future, but we reported recently that Arsenal eyed a long-term deal for Evan Ferguson. Mikel Arteta is not likely to start his pursuit for the young Brighton and Hove Albion forward until next summer, but it’s one to keep an eye on. For more details about this transfer, click below.

It’s thought that Evan Ferguson could cost around £100m, so even more money to add to the budget for the next season at the Amex Stadium. This business model isn’t so bad after all.
