Manchester United faced Spurs away from home in the Premier League yesterday. The game finished 2-0 in Spurs’ favour which was bound to hurt United fans. However, it wasn’t the scoreline which hurt them the most, it was instead the performance from their players.

Much like in the opening gameweek of this Premier League campaign, Manchester United were boring to watch. Rarely did they pose any serious threat to Ange Postcecolou’s side. Even after going a goal down, they never looked to have any desire to score.

Erik ten Hag has been criticised for the way his side has started this campaign. They picked up a win in their opening match but it was nothing short of luck, as even Wolves looked all over them for the majority of the game.

While it remains early days in this Premier League season, it doesn’t look good if this is how they’ll play for the rest of the seasons. What’s more, people are ALREADY starting to question whether or not Erik ten Hag is the right man to coach a team as big as Manchester United.

Piers Morgan SLAMS Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag

Granted, it is a very small subsection of United fans who question Ten Hag’s integrity and it’s mostly neutral fans. However, sometimes the opinion of neutral fans is to be trusted more than the bias views of fans of the club.

One neutral fan who has been very vocal (unsurprisingly) is Piers Morgan. The vocal Arsenal fan who is the first to criticise his own team when they underperform has jumped on X recently to discuss Erik ten Hag, and even brought up his mate Cristiano Ronaldo, claiming he was right to jump ship after criticising Erik ten Hag on Morgan’s TV show.
