Manchester City transfer roundup: Big signing on the brink of completion

It has been made public now that Gvardiol and Manchester City is “here we go” confirmed.

This has been a long saga for both clubs, but there remained optimism, even after offers got turned down, that Manchester City would get their man. At 21 years old, Gvardiol is undoubtedly one of the most talented young defenders in Europe, and Leipzig rightfully asked for a hefty fee from Manchester City in order to part ways with their star defender.
It looks as though the fee is around €90 million, and he has *allegedly* already landed in Manchester to undergo his medical tomorrow. He will sign a long-term deal with City, as the club hope he will be at the heart of their defense for years to come.
Ironically, Gvardiol had two polar opposite showings against Manchester City in the Champions League last season, scoring in their first matchup, and getting rocked 7-0 at the Etihad. Regardless, Gvardiol’s abilities are well-known and will bring some excitement to a rather quiet transfer window for City by their standards.
