Manchester City transfer roundup: Big signing on the brink of completion
By Ivan Buss
Walker is wanted by Bayern Munich, and the rumours and ongoing saga between the Bavarian club and Manchester City have been going on for what seems like an eternity now. There is an offer on the table from Manchester City to stay with the Cityzens, but it is reported that Walker has turned down that offer and wants the move to Bayern.
It’s clear that Kyle Walker and Manchester City are after different things, but what remains to be seen is whether Walker will get his move to Bayern Munich. City does not want to lose him, even at the age of 33, as he appears to be the only true fullback left in Pep’s squad apart from young Rico Lewis. Walker has been a player that has proved vital in certain battles with some of the world’s best in the Champions League, and his pace, combined with his physicality, will be sorely missed should he move to Bayern.
