England’s number nine and captain Harry Kane could be set to move abroad amid talks with Bayern Munich. As The Top Flight has previously reported, Bayern are still negotiating with Tottenham over a potential transfer, with multiple bids already being rejected. Kane has just a year left on his contract and was subject to Manchester United’s interest earlier this year, but that ship has sailed.

One of the most prolific strikers in Premier League history, Harry Kane, has yet to win a trophy with Tottenham Hotspur. Kane has come close, namely when Spurs were 2019 Champions League runners-up, and he was twice runners-up for the EFL Cup. Bayern Munich presents itself as a likely place for Harry Kane to win a whole lot of silverware. They’re labelled the Rekordmeister for a reason, and they see Kane as the striker to bring them back to UCL glory.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Bayern Munich officials met in London today with Daniel, Tottenham’s chairman. Romano says that Bayern are expected to increase their recent £68.5m proposal that was rejected by Spurs. Romano described the meeting in London as crucial, but now German reports suggest negotiations are still ongoing after the meeting.

Florian Plettenberg reports that Bayern Munich did not expect to complete a deal today in London. Negotiations with Daniel Levy are expected to continue next month as Bayern looks to close a deal. The officials from Bayern will travel back to Germany after the talks in London. Bayern Munich is clearly pushing to sign Kane, but Daniel Levy, who is known as a hard negotiator, could help see this transfer saga drag on.

It’s yet to be reported how desperate Harry Kane is for a move. There’s a belief he is keen on the switch, but he may have to be prepared for the scenario that a deal could collapse. With his contract expiring next summer, Harry Kane will hold all the cards for his next team should he not move to Bayern this window.
