[2] – Andre – Fluminense (Brazil)

A slightly younger option than Adams to replace Moises Caicedo could be 22-year-old Andre from Fluminense. The Brazilian midfielder is already being linked to the Premier League, with Fulham chasing for his signature. Andre would be an intriguing option for Brighton because he is already very familiar with playing in De Zerbi’s usual formation. At Fluminense, under Fernando Diniz, Andre plays a double pivot and operates in the same deeper-lying role as Caicedo does. A great report from Caio Miguel of Total Football Analysis illustrates this point, (source).

"“In Diniz’s fluid 4-2-3-1, the Xerém product is part of a double pivot in the midfield. Nonetheless, due to his incredibly well-rounded and balanced profile, he is able to perform anywhere in the middle of the park.” “Operating slightly deeper than his partner, he is tasked with being the heart of the team in possession”"

Given Andre often has the ball at his feet, or his teammates do, he isn’t exactly known to make tons of tackles and interceptions. His best work comes from his passing, which can help replace Caicedo’s role in the Brighton midfield.
