Erik ten Hag has completely revolutionised the modern Manchester United and looks set to return the club to its former glory days. Somebody who tried but failed to do that before Ten Hag was club legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Although he did an adequate job as manager, it was just that. Adequate, nothing too special.

In fairness, Solskjaer did what he could. Under poor club ownership, he managed to make some good signings out of the funds available to him. But among the smart signings, there were some stinkers.

Erik ten Hag will sell Manchester United youngster Nathan Bishop

According to the Northern Echo, Erik ten Hag is planning to sell a failed Solskjaer signing from 2020, Nathan Bishop. The report claims that the 23-year-old goalkeeper will sign for Sunderland, and the deal has already been agreed.

Bishop was sold a dream when he first signed for the club, however, it hasn’t worked out for him. It’s through no fault of his own either, since it’s possible to break into a club when one of the best in the world, David de Gea, has solidified himself as number one.

Although the deal is thought to be agreed, there is a catch. The report claims that Bishop will not be able to complete his move until Manchester United have finished their pre-season campaign. This is because Bishop is proving valuable backup. Further, despite the agreed sale of Bishop, Erik ten Hag could even use the 23-year-old against Wrexham on Wednesday morning.

Do you think Nathan Bishop will be a success at Sunderland?
