Fulham hope to improve their squad further for the upcoming season. They had a good season last time out and showed plenty of signs of promise, however, the squad lacked that cutting edge and depth needed to push for a comfortable top half finish. In the end, the Cottagers finished 10th and missed out on European qualification.

Marco Silva knows what he wants and that is an energetic winger who has the ability to not only take on opposing full-backs, but also has the end product needed to come up with goals and assists. The boss thinks he knows where to look and fortunately for him, the player he has shortlisted is up for sale.

Fulham battle Lazio for Chelsea talent Callum Hudson-Odoi

According to trusted journalist Nicolo Schira, Fulham hope to challenge European giants Lazio for the signing of Callum Hudson-Odoi. Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri is keen to reunite with his former talent, which might be a pull factor for the player. However, Fulham hope that staying in England and indeed London could be enough to convince the player.

Callum Hudson-Odoi is certainly a great option for whoever chooses to sign him. Given that he is not part of Mauricio Pochettino’s long-term plans, negotiations with Chelsea should be easy. It might just come down a bidding war between Lazio and Fulham.

Marco Silva has given the Craven Cottage hierarchy enough to reason to trust his process. Therefore, he hopes that they will repay his efforts by backing his transfer plans. There is no doubt that at 22 years old, Hudson-Odoi could appeal to the Fulham board, not just Silva.
