Harry Kane is one of the greatest strikers in the world. In terms of all-round ability and consistency, he is certainly the best in the Premier League. However, ageing at 29 years old, he is very aware that he needs to win trophies in order to cement his legacy. Unfortunately, playing for his beloved Spurs essentially ensures he will go his entire career without a trophy.
This is why it’s good to see the Englishman is pursuing a move elsewhere, where he will win trophies. However, Kane is a family man first and a footballer second. This is the way it should be and something he prides himself of.
Therefore, before entertaining his move elsewhere, he must first ensure that everything runs smoothly for his family. This is where his wife, Katie, comes in. The Sports Science graduate has been spotted in Munich house hunting and looking at the best schools for their children, according to BILD.
Of course, this doesn’t guarantee that Kane is guaranteed to move to the Bundesliga. It is just something that must be looked into just in case the move does happen. But it’s certainly not good news for Spurs or Ange Postecoglou, who had big plans for the striker in the upcoming season.
It should have been expected, though. When Bayern Munich comes calling, it takes a lot to reject those calls, especially for a player who is hungry to win trophies. What’s next for Spurs is they must look at replacements, since they’re likely to get a big fee.
Spurs are without European football next season, so their pull factor won’t be great. However, they do have a good squad of talented players and with a new manager, they could convince the right striker to come and join their ranks.
