Chelsea are known to be the kings of the transfer window. Particularly over the last few windows, they have been the biggest spenders and brought in some incredibly big names such as Enzo Fernandez and Joao Felix.

Say what you like about Todd Boehly’s transfer strategy – Obviously, it hasn’t been good in recent windows as Chelsea have signed the wrong players. However, new boss Mauricio Pochettino aims to change this by adding his own spin on things. The latest transfer target who the club is pursuing is completely bulletproof, and could stamp the Premier League’s dominance on the rest of the world for some time.

Chelsea get the ball rolling by trying to sign Kylian Mbappe

That’s right, according to RMC Sport, Chelsea have begun the process of trying to sign Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain. Although, they are in competition with fellow wealthy hoarder Al-Hilal from the Saudi Pro League.

The French outlet claims that Mbappe is subject to a move away from the French capital, after he was not featured in their squad for their Asian pre-season tour. This is despite Mbappe not being tied to any international commitments, so he could have travelled with PSG.

For some time, Mbappe has been linked with a move to the Premier League. He has even claimed that if he were to move to England, he would prefer for the move to be Arsenal. However, I don’t think I’m going out on a limb by saying Arsenal do not have the financial resources to sign a player of Mbappe’s calibre.

Chelsea and Al-Hilal do, though. So it’ll certainly be interesting to see where Mbappe ends up, the established and historical Premier League or the modern and exciting Saudi Pro League.

Where do you think Kylian Mbappe will be playing next season?
