If you’re a Liverpool fan reading this, you’re probably sick to death of reading about the Saudi Pro League. Not only did the Saudi league pinch Liverpool’s legend in Steven Gerrard, but they would like to sign some of their players, as negotiations are ongoing for midfielders Jordan Henderson and Fabinho. However, you might want to stick around for this one.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says no to Saudi regarding Luis Diaz

It’s very rare that Saudi are given the answer of no, but they have now. According to the transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Jurgen Klopp has informed Pro League club Al Hilal that Luis Diaz is not for sale, so they should look elsewhere. While he may have entertained sales of Henderson and Fabinho, he won’t allow one of his best assets Diaz to leave that easily.

Indeed, Klopp sees Diaz as a key figurehead in his long-term plans. As Liverpool undergo a rebuild following their underwhelming season last time out, the form of Diaz will be crucial. Diaz didn’t have the best season as he was injured but he is ready to prove a point to Klopp and the supporters next season, in England.

The Reds play in the Europa League next season as they failed to qualify for the Champions League. This is below Klopp’s expectations for sure, but if you would have offered him Europa League qualification after their poor form at the start of the season, he would’ve snatched the opportunity.

Do you think Luis Diaz will be a success at Liverpool?
