Manchester United have completed their most recent signing but it’s not who you’d expect. According to the transfer expert, who didn’t see this deal coming himself, Man United have signed their club legend Jonny Evans on a short contract, which allows him to play in pre-season under Erik ten Hag.
It’s not often you see small contracts like this, but this is a touch of class from United. They would like to spice up their pre-season by throwing a new (and old) player into the mix. This will give the fans something to be excited about, but also give Evans some valuable minutes for the club he loves most.
Manchester United actually unveiled the news this morning, but it went over a lot of people’s heads. Not Romano’s, though, as he is clued up on all things to do with transfers.
The next match in Manchester United’s pre-season journey is against Lyon tomorrow. Evans is in the squad for the match, but whether or not he’s in the starting eleven remains to be seen.
