Chelsea REJECT a bid from their London rivals for fringe youngster
By Kian Long
Chelsea are preparing for a much better season next time out. Under new management, Mauricio Pochettino hopes to give some players a much needed kick up the backside to get them firing again. Truth be told, there isn’t a single player who doesn’t need to improve next season, everyone was abysmal last season.
Still, given some much need improvement in some areas of the pitch, and deadwood being sold, Poch can turn it around. He prides himself on his impeccable man-management approach which seems to benefit young players. Some of the players who would like to benefit from his arrival are Levi Colwill and Callum Hudson-Odoi, both players returning from loan and hope to make it under the new boss.
Chelsea reject Fulham’s bid for Callum Hudson-Odoi
According to a report from Mail Online, Pochettino cannot guarantee game time to Callum Hudson-Odoi, so he will against his own will, miss out. Already, an offer has been received for the English winger, but it has been rejected by Chelsea.
The offer was not rejected on the basis of CHO being not for sale, but instead because Chelsea weren’t happy with the offered package. The report claims that a bid was made by Fulham, but it was not big enough to entertain.
It’s difficult to believe that Callum Hudson-Odoi is still only 22 years old. He has his whole career ahead of him, and needs to play for a club that can guarantee him game time. Pochettino has done the right thing by warning him that Stamford Bridge is probably not the place for that.
Hudson-Odoi joined Chelsea in 2017, making 72 league appearances and scoring four goals. Unfortunately for the England international, he is likely to be sold permanently before he can make the magic 100.
Where do you think Callum Hudson-Odoi will play next season?
