Arsenal’s worst player refuses to leave – Arteta MUST terminate contract

There are some players who must be moved on by Arsenal this summer. Having brought in some top quality talents, Mikel Arteta’s focus is on shifting some players out of the squad to make some room and free up some wage allocation.
Perhaps the most obvious name which springs to mind is Cedric Soares. Recently being brought to the attention of Arsenal fans, given his inclusion in the video which unveiled new signing Declan Rice, Cedric is a player who obviously has to be sold. Particularly when you consider the signing of Jurrien Timber, there is no necessity for the Portugal international in this squad.

However, Cedric has other plans. May I cast the mind of Arsenal fans back to late May, where Cedric revealed that he wanted to stay and fight for his place under Mikel Arteta?

Nothing has happened to change the mind of Cedric, either. While he might not fit under Mikel Arteta’s system, one thing you can’t rate is his work ethic. If his passion and love for the club is anything to go by, he’ll fancy his chances next season.
But passion and love for the club isn’t good enough. I don’t mean to be blunt when I say this, but you have to be talented and suit the needs of your manager above all else. Cedric does not fit any need which Mikel Arteta has.
Should Cedric refuse to be sold this summer, then his contract should be terminated with no questions asked. It’s a new era for Arsenal.
