It’s not a secret that Bayern Munich are big fans of Tottenham’s Harry Kane. In fact, The Top Flight has reported that Bayern has already made a second bid for Kane that has been rejected. With Kane seemingly keen to join the Bundesliga giants, it is now up to the board at Bayern to send a bid that Danel Levy sees as sufficient.

Former Bayern president and now board member Uli Hoeness recently spoke to German media about Harry Kane. One of the major things from his comments is that Bayern Munich are all in on signing England’s number nine.

"Hoeness: “If [Kane] keeps his word, we will sign him. Tottenham will have to give up, we’ve to get an asking price from Levy”. (Source)"

Daniel Levy is notorious for being a hard negotiator which means both clubs could be in for a long summer.

"Hoeness: “Harry Kane now wants to play in European competitions. Tottenham won’t be there next season, [Bayern] will be there”. (Source)"

Former Bayern chairman and also current board member Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has been in regular contact with Harry Kane, per Hoeness.

"Hoeness: “What we really liked about Harry Kane is his agents, his father, brother… they’re very pleasant people”. (Source)"

Needless to say, these are some pretty juicy quotes from someone who has a lot of influence within Bayern’s setup. It feels as though Bayern want to let Tottenham know that they are going to give everything they’ve got to bring Harry Kane to Munich.

As Hoeness states, Bayern have Champions League football, while Tottenham have no European football at all. It would be a shame for a player of Kane’s talent level not to be playing in Europe next season. With just a year left on his contract, Tottenham have a tough decision to make. Harry Kane, even without a trophy, is a Tottenham legend. It feels hard to imagine a scenario where the club will be better without their star striker.
