Romelu Lukaku became one of the elite strikers in European football during his stint with Internazionale. The Belgian frontman revived his career at Milan, proving doubters wrong after tumultuous stints with Chelsea.

He’s been on and off with the London side, never really finding success at Stamford Bridge, differing a lot from his time at Giuseppe Meazza stadium with the Black and Blue club. Following a season where he helped them reach the Champions League final for the first time in 13 years, the Italian giants want to keep Lukaku.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the most recent offer from Inter made was for €30 million, which isn’t enough to suffice Chelsea’s demands. Moreover, the insider claims that the Blues believe two more teams could join this race.

Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth mentioned a couple of teams that could be poised to ruin a potential Internazionale move for Lukaku, who has donned their jersey through 2019–2021 and then returned on loan from Chelsea in 2022.

"“Now, the latest information we’ve got at Sky Sports News is that they think that Inter Milan are trying to put a deal together that’s worth around €35m,” Sheth explains, via GIVEMESPORT. “I don’t think that’s going to be enough for Chelsea to sell Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan and in the background, you’ve got interest from Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and also Juventus have held initial talks with Romelu Lukaku.”"

Lukaku has done a terrific job with Inter, netting 78 and dishing out 23 assists in 132 games played for the Italian side, per Transfermarkt. He’s done enough to convince the ‘Neroazzurri’ to keep him on board, but other teams will try to ruin this move and lure him away from Milan.

Chelsea has a clear asking price for the Belgian player, and if the 2023 Champions League runners-up can’t meet it, other teams will take advantage of that and snatch him away.

The Blues have made it clear they want to have a fresh start next season under Mauricio Pochettino, and parting ways with Lukaku is important for that. They’re set to part ways with several stars, and the 30-year-old striker might be atop of the list right now.
