Not only Henderson, Liverpool could lose ANOTHER midfielder to Saudi
By Kian Long
Liverpool are finally starting to move towards being prepared for next season. They have a fresh midfield trio, including Trent Alexander Arnold’s positional change, as well as some young players coming through the ranks. Jurgen Klopp is getting financial backing from the board, as they are starting to realise their mistakes in recent transfer windows and how this affected them last time.
But it’s not all about incomings. There are some significant outgoings to report on. As I eluded to, one of the positions which needed an urgent fix was the midfield, which aged and was neglected in recent transfer windows. Fair enough, the problem has been fixed, but it runs the risk of breaking again.
Liverpool midfielder Fabinho wanted by Al Ittihad
According to the trusted transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Fabinho is at risk of moving away from Anfield Stadium. The Brazil international has been approached by Al Ittihad, the Saudi Pro League club who is managed by former Premier League man Nuno Espirito Santo.
Nothing has been declared between the two clubs, and it remains to be seen where Liverpool stand on the situation, but Nuno is keen.
Given that Jordan Henderson has been given the green light to move to Saudi, this could impact whether Liverpool are willing to let go of another backup midfielder. Fabinho can certainly do a job for Jurgen Klopp, even if his position is in jeopardy with the new signings. Time will tell where Klopp stands on this one.
Do you think Fabinho will leave Liverpool this summer?
