Arsenal Twitter is a desolate place right now. Unfortunately, users are dropping like flies and it’s not because Musk is killing the platform. Instead, it’s because the club is taking FAR too long to announce the inevitable signings of Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber.
I mean, that’s obviously me being facetious. There are many layers to signings, particularly those as big as Rice, being announced. First there has to be an agreement with the player, then the club and then lawyers. With Rice, there are also sponsorship deals which must be addressed before he can be announced.
Arsenal will announce Jurrien Timber tomorrow (Friday)
With Timber, things should be a bit easier and there has actually been confirmation of a time when he will be announced. According to Football London journalist Kaya Kaynak, there was a small error in his contract which has been sorted and with all of his media duties complete, Arsenal hope to announce Jurrien Timber tomorrow.
Understand a small contract issue has delayed the announcement of the Jurrien Timber deal. All sorted now though. In house media duties completed and #AFC hopeful of announcing deal tomorrow.

Jurrien Timber is a great signing. He probably won’t start straight away but this is in no way a reflection of the player’s ability, more the ability already existing within the squad. Instead, Timber will act as backup and find his natural rhythm into the starting lineup, which he will be given many chances to prove he’s capable of in pre-season.
Timber is a versatile defender who could play in almost all defensive positions. Primarily he is a centre back but he can also play as a right back – much like Ben White. Tomorrow is Timber day at Arsenal.
