Arsenal transfer news – Mikel Arteta joins the race for Gabri Veiga

Astonishingly there has been a new player linked with Arsenal. Having already signed Kai Havertz and awaiting on announcements for Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber, Mikel Arteta is not done there.

According to Le 10 Sport, Arsenal have joined the race for 21-year-old talent from Celta Vigo, Gabri Veiga. Veiga is known to be one of the best prospects in world football and with PSG pulling out of the race, this leaves London trio Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs battling to sign him.

Undoubtedly if this report is true, the Gunners will have the upper-hand with personal terms since they are the only club who can offer Veiga Champions League football.

Arsenal transfer news – Declan Rice to be announced before USA tour

Arsenal have their first match of the USA pre-season tour next Thursday (Jul 20). According to Sky Sports, they would like to have Declan Rice announced before the tour commences. Recently, Rice posted to his Instagram feed that he was undergoing intense training in Portugal.

For Arsenal fans, they would hope that Rice is announced this week at a minimum given that he was signed last week.
