Manchester United are currently undergoing a rebuild. After Erik ten Hag won a trophy and qualified for the Champions League last season, this season is all about challenging for the title, and perhaps even pushing further in Europe.
However, to do so, he must focus on working on the best strategy in this transfer window. Having signed Mason Mount from Chelsea in one of the most popular transfer stories this summer, it’s clear that Ten Hag felt his midfield needed improving.
Many are quick to point fingers at the unused midfielders, one of them being Donny van de Beek. Despite the two having a great working relationship, there is just something about the midfielder that doesn’t match him up to Manchester United’s desires for the future. Therefore, he is subject to speculation of a move away from Old Trafford this summer.

Manchester United: Donny van de Beek wanted by Premier League clubs
According to 90min, Donny van de Beek could be on his way out of Manchester United this summer, with three Premier League clubs interested in signing him. Firstly there is Nottingham Forest and Wolves in the Midlands, but if a move to London takes his fancy then Crystal Palace would also like to sign him.
I mean no disrespect to the three clubs when I say this, but this isn’t where Van De Beek envisioned his career at the age of 26 years old. When he was young, he was tearing apart the Champions League and looked certain for a bright future. However, he is now being linked with mid-table Premier League clubs.
Though, I must say, this is a sad reflection of his career. Unfortunately, he made the wrong decision by signing for Manchester United. Still, I certainly won’t rule him out for being a success at any Premier League club he signs for.
