Arsenal transfer news – Mikel Arteta eyes Manchester City duo

It won’t come as a surprise to see that Arsenal are targeting some more Manchester City players. In the last year alone, they have targeted Jesus, Zinchenko, Gundogan, Cancelo and Laporte.

However, the two most recent names to be linked with Arsenal might actually come as a surprise. According to Football365, Arsenal have “contacted” Manchester City over the potential signings of Kyle Walker and Julian Alvarez.

Firstly, Walker is a shock because of his affiliation with Spurs. Also, his age of 33 years old is a surprise given that Arteta prefers to sign younger players. Further, Alvarez is a bold move since he will cost a lot of money, having only arrived at City last year and winning the World Cup recently.

Still, you miss out on 100% of the transfers you don’t attempt.

Arsenal transfer news – Jurrien Timber announcement expected very soon

According to the transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, an announcement from Arsenal for the significant signing of Jurrien Timber will be made “in the coming days”.

Documents have been signed and a medical is completed, it’s just a waiting game for the unveiling of him and Declan Rice now, I’d assume.

Arsenal transfer news – Aaron Ramsey agreed with Man United before Arsenal

While it’s a transfer of the past, I thought it’d be fun to report on a slow transfer day for Arsenal.

According to talkSPORT, Aaron Ramsey was inches close to signing with Manchester United before he joined Arsenal. In fact, having agreed terms with Sir Alex Ferguson, the Welshman who went on to become an Arsenal legend was swayed by Arsene Wenger’s use of private jet to fly the teenager to London.

What could have been.
