Arsenal transfer news – Reiss Nelson’s new deal announced
Yesterday, Arsenal revealed their most recent piece of business. After already signing Kai Havertz this summer, Mikel Arteta is beginning to focus his attention on contract renewals (which are just as important as new signings).
Reiss Nelson has signed his new deal, as officially announced by Arsenal on Twitter.
Arsenal transfer news – Three deals expected to be sorted today
This morning, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano had given fans plenty of reason to be excited about the day. Romano claims that THREE new deals will be finalised today: a contract extension for William Saliba and medicals booked for Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber.
Arsenal are truly doing a madness in this transfer window, but it was very much needed. In terms of Saliba, we saw how pivotal he was to the Arsenal defence last season and bringing in the versatile defender Timber as backup will prove valuable should Saliba or Gabriel become injured. Hopefully not, but the option is reassuring.
As for Declan Rice, I don’t need to tell you how big a deal this is. It is Arsenal’s transfer record and the most amount paid for an English player in history for a reason. Rice is the future of Arsenal.
Arsenal transfer news – Granit Xhaka leaves
It was coming for some time, but Granit Xhaka has officially left the club. Personally, Xhaka was one of my favourite players and I loved him even throughout the backlash. Xhaka’s redemption arc is one that will stick with the club and embodies everything this wonderful football club is about. Thank you, Granit.
