Ex Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has been active on social media within the last hour as he appears to have posted a cryptic message which may be aimed towards the club he used to play for or Erik ten Hag.
All that the tweet involved is an emoji which depicts a person juggling. Presumably what is meant by this is that he feels like Manchester United have been juggling him around.
For those that don’t know, David de Gea is now a free agent after talks stalled with his contract. It is rumoured that some Saudi Arabian clubs are interested in signing him but he is not likely to have any future at Manchester United, particularly if this tweet is anything to go by.
Manchester United have no use for David de Gea
Manchester United have already shortlisted De Gea’s replacement and are actively working hard to bring him to the club. Recently, we reported that the club were in direct contact with Inter Milan regarding the potential signing of Andre Onana.
The more ironic thing about this tweet is that, as a neutral fan, I cannot imagine De Gea would be very good at juggling. In all honesty, he has made far too many mistakes over the last few seasons which have cost United severely. I hate to play “what ifs” but I can’t help imagining where United would be if they had a world class goalkeeper.
Regardless what your opinion of David de Gea is, though, it’s a shame to see it end this way. For some time, De Gea was legitimately the best goalkeeper in the league. There was a time where he was an asset to the club, but it seems to have ended bitterly.
Where do you think David de Gea will sign?
