After Arsenal had agreed terms with West Ham completely to sign Declan Rice, not many turned their attention to Granit Xhaka. Although, it is important to address his situation since he is soon to be shown the exit door.
Fans have known for a long time that Granit Xhaka would not represent the Emirates Stadium next season. In fact, the Swiss international even shared an emotional celebration in his final match for the club, after he scored a brace on the last day of the season against Wolves.
Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka will leave the club ASAP
But now that Rice has signed, this means Xhaka has been given the green light to do the same elsewhere. According to the transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who has labelled this deal as a “here we go”, Xhaka is soon to leave the club, having been in agreement with Bayer Leverkusen since May.

Granit Xhaka truly turned around his Arsenal career and has certainly won back the respect of the fans. When all seemed down and out and he even swore at a section of fans for booing him off some seasons ago, Xhaka ended his time in North London with one of the greatest redemption arcs and his best season ever.
Largely, Mikel Arteta is to thank. Being in the position of an Arsenal midfielder is something which the Spanish boss knows more than most, therefore he has acted as the ideal mentor for Granit Xhaka.
