Arsenal transfer news – Declan Rice deal is “very close”

Rubbishing rumours that Arsenal and West Ham were collapsing on the deal, Romano has reassured Arsenal fans that this is not the case. Further, he has claimed that this deal is in the most advanced stage, with only the final discussions about payments left to complete.

Arsenal transfer news – Jurrien Timber is “really desperate to join” Arsenal

Speaking on The Debrief podcast, Romano shared some further news which will excite the Emirates Stadium faithful. He claimed that the Jurrien Timber deal is close too, with the defender “really desperate” to join Mikel Arteta’s army.

Arsenal transfer news – Granit Xhaka will leave when Rice is signed

Unfortunately with a future captain coming in, it means that fans will have to bid farewell to a former captain, Granit Xhaka. According to Romano’s Twitter feed, the deal for the Swiss midfielder to join Bayer Leverkusen will go ahead as agreed. However, the deal will only be finalised once Arsenal sign Rice.

In Xhaka’s final match for Arsenal, he scored an early brace and rounded off an excellent final season.
