Fabrizio Romano states Spurs will sign free agent with London experience

With Ange Postecoglou taking charge in North London, it’s important that the Spurs board back him in his first transfer window. Postecoglou is a very hands-on manager so he will take charge with a plan already in mind.
Spurs will sign free agent Manor Solomon
Having already signed James Maddison from the relegated Leicester City, Spurs would like to add another attacking option to their ranks. According to the transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Lilywhites have reached an agreement to sign Manor Solomon as a free agent.
The attacking midfielder who can also play as a winger already has Premier League experience, having played the last season on loan at Fulham. During his loan spell, he produced a respectable four goals from 19 appearances, although many of those appearances were from the bench.
Overall, it wasn’t a loan spell which caught many people’s attention. It was good, but it wasn’t amazing. This is the reason why Fulham have chosen not to sign properly.
However, Solomon has a strong mentality, so he will arrive back in London with a point to prove. As his contract at Shakhtar has expired and with a new manager at the helm at Spurs, this deal makes sense.
As with any Spurs signing, Solomon is bound to receive critics. However, to this I would respond that even if a free signing turns out bad, there is no loss of investment. Given Levy’s tendancy to hold back his budget, at least the new manager is being proactive and seeking options in the free agent market.
