Mikel Arteta runs a very strict operation at Arsenal. Those who have watched the All or Nothing documentary on Amazon Prime will know that the players like him, and he likes the players. But I should add that this is the MAJORITY of players – there are some who don’t quite fit the bill.

Just looking at playing time, it’s easy to see the types of players which Arteta really likes (for example, Saka), is still undecided on (for example, Vieira) and who he really doesn’t like (for example, Tierney).

I have already put in my two cents on who I think will leave Arsenal this summer. However, officially, there has been reports linking one midfielder with a move away from the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal want to sell Albert Sambi Lokonga

According to HITC, Mikel Arteta is actually “actively” trying to offer Albert Sambi Lokonga away from the club. It’s thought that Vincent Kompany’s recently promoted side Burnley are keen to sign him, with the Gunners keen to sell him. However, the eventual conclusion could be a loan spell, which in my opinion would benefit Burnley much more than Arsenal.

If we’re being realistic, Lokonga does not have a future at the Emirates Stadium. We might as well say this for certain now, rather than holding false hope with another loan spell.

While Lokonga would certainly learn under a manager like Kompany, he is not good enough to wear the Arsenal jersey – particularly with the goal in mind to push Manchester City. He makes too many mistakes and in general, his playing style doesn’t match any of the roles which Arteta prefers in the middle of the pitch.

Time will tell whether or not the Gunners agree to the loan spell but either way, I cannot see Lokonga remaining an Arsenal player next season.

Do you think Albert Sambi Lokonga should be sold?
