We revealed on Friday that Manchester United planned to submit their third and final bid for Mason Mount. This was after their opening two bids were immediately rejected by Chelsea.
Well, the saga continues as Chelsea appear to have stalled on this bid. Therefore, Erik ten Hag is sticking true to his word and making this his final bid. Further, alternatives have been shortlisted, despite the bid remaining open in case Chelsea change their mind. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Mason Mount will either leave this summer or next year for free.

Fabrizio Romano has indicated that Arsenal and Liverpool lead the race, since they are the only two make movements, for Romeo Lavia. However, Manchester United and Chelsea are also interested. None of the four interested clubs have made an opening bid as this Lavia pursuit could even persist for the entirety of the transfer window, with bigger transfers taking priority.
