Newcastle fans have all the reason in the world to be happy as they have just pulled off a VERY efficient transfer. It seems like only yesterday when they had first become linked with Sandro Tonali, but now the deal is done.

Well, that’s according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who has sung his famous line “Here we go”, which will be echoed by the beautiful Geordie accent. Romano claims that the deal is done and with documents being prepared, Tonali will soon be unveiled as a Newcastle player.

The initial fee is €70m, which matches the club record transfer set by Isak. However, with add ons, it remains to be seen whether the overall sum is greater than Isak’s. Either way, it’s no competition as Tonali will have one thing on his mind: playing the beautiful game.

Further, this fee breaks the Italian record. That’s right, at just 23 years old, Tonali is now the most expensive Italian player ever. BIG legacy to leave behind!

There’s no denying this is a big loss for AC Milan. However, with the resurgence of Italian football making positive moves in recent seasons, the fee which they accumulated for Tonali could definitely help them to reinvest heavily back into their squad. Worrying times for their Serie A competition.

Considering just a few weeks ago there were reports that Newcastle were sticking to a budget, this seems to be nonsense now. There is not a chance on earth that the Newcastle board would be foolish enough to blow their budget on one player – more signings will surely come.

Is this a good move by Newcastle?
