Manchester United convince the league’s best striker to push for a move
By Kian Long
Manchester United have tried their hardest to sign a striker. With the Premier League transfer window still far from over, Erik ten Hag is hopeful that he can work with the board to get a deal for a new striker secured. It is the position of highest necessity, given Marcus Rashford was forced to play out of position last season.
There are some obvious names which are being thrown around, including Victor Osimhen, Randal Kolo Muani and Rasmus Hojlund. However, the Red Devils have bigger fish to fry than this. They would like to sign the best striker in the Premier League.

Manchester United tell Harry Kane to request a transfer
According to The Sun, Manchester United have advised Harry Kane that he should put in a transfer request to leave Tottenham Hotspur. Perhaps this is a case of desperate times calling for desperate measures since it is no secret that Daniel Levy is a nightmare to negotiate with.
Although, the report doesn’t fill United fans with too much hope, given that United still fall short of Tottenham’s expectations. It’s thought that Spurs will demand £100m if they are to sell Kane (which is fair enough since you’re pretty much guaranteed goals), but Erik ten Hag and company are only willing to pay £80m at this stage.
What’s important to consider is that Harry Kane is entering the final year of his contract and it doesn’t look like he’ll extend his stay. Therefore, from Spurs’ perspective they either make some money from him now or risk losing him for free, which would be far worse.
