The Arsenal recruitment team has done it again. One thing which has completely changed about the club’s transfer window strategy is how well they overcome when things don’t go their way. For example, they missed out on Mudryk so signed Trossard, they missed out on Martinez so signed Zinchenko and so on.
Well, before the transfer window opened, there were hopes from the Arsenal camp that they could pursue a deal for Joao Cancelo amid his unhappy status at Manchester City. However, the Portgual international isn’t likely to remain in the Premier League, so the Gunners have had to look elsewhere.
In my opinion, the alternative they have located for Cancelo might even be the better option. But who is it?
Arsenal reach full agreement with Jurrien Timber
An incredible breakthrough from Fabrizio Romano on Twitter has got fans excited. The transfer expert claims that an agreement has been reached with Jurrien Timber. The player wants to play under Mikel Arteta and is now fully committed. Now all that’s left is to discuss terms with Ajax, which will happen in the coming hours and day.

Timber would be an excellent signing for Arsenal. He shares a lot of the same attributes as Joao Cancelo in his ability to look comfortable anywhere. Further, just like Ben White, he can play as either a centre back or right back which covers the Gunners in terms of depth.
