West Ham “unhappy” with Arsenal’s “lack of progress” for Declan Rice

One transfer saga which has extended for FAR too long from the eyes of any Arsenal fan is that of Declan Rice. Original interest in the English midfielder was thought to be a long time before the season has ended. However, Mikel Arteta respected West Ham by waiting until their season had officially ended and they had won the Europa Conference League final before pursuing to sign him.
Well, now it’s been two weeks since the ECL final and West Ham feel like Arteta is actually starting to disrespect them. According to 90min, West Ham are beginning to feel “unhappy” about their London rival’s “lack of progress” with their interest in Declan Rice.
West Ham unhappy with Arsenal about Declan Rice
This news came after West Ham rejected Arsenal’s second bid for Rice which, in all honesty, wasn’t heavily improved and was never going to be accepted. West Ham are thought to be holding out for their original £100m valuation, despite Arsenal’s effort to budge that.
With both Chelsea and Manchester City showing concrete interest in signing Rice, Arsenal really need to be efficient with their third bid, which the Daily Mail claims will be made in due time.
Today, Manchester United have joined the race to sign Declan Rice as they plan to table a player-plus-cash offer to West Ham. Therefore, the Gunners aren’t leading the chase as much as they originally thought.
To be clear, I still think Arteta will sign Rice. Both parties desperately want the deal to happen. However, the club isn’t exactly making it easy for themselves but then again, have they ever?
Do you think Arsenal will sign Declan Rice this summer?
