With the summer transfer window now open, things aren’t exactly quiet at Arsenal. Currently involved with negotiations to sign West Ham legend Declan Rice and sorting out their contract extensions with the likes of William Saliba, Mikel Arteta is hard at work.
However, the Spanish boss is also prepared to let some players leave, to make room for their immense transfer plans this summer.

Arsenal prepare for Kieran Tierney bids
Kieran Tierney is one of the players who unfortunately does not have a future under Mikel Arteta. The Spanish boss is very clear in what he wants for Arsenal going forward, and Kieran Tierney does not fulfil any requirements in the defence.
This was pretty much accepted by the fanbase when, in the last two games of last season, Arteta opted to play Thomas Partey out of position instead of giving Kieran Tierney his final farewell to the fans. It’s sad, but to sell Tierney would be the right move for all parties.
According to Football Insider, Arsenal are prepared to receive a wave of bids from interested parties in the coming weeks. It’s thought that the club leading the chase is Newcastle United. However, there could be a place for him under former boss Unai Emery at Aston Villa, or under the best coach in the world Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
Whichever club benefits from signing Kieran Tierney, he will be given more game time than Mikel Arteta can promise him. It won’t be a bitter departure since the fans will still chant his name wherever he ends up. He has been a loyal player to Arsenal and always gave his 100% whenever he has played.
