Arsenal will make official bid for Champions League winner from Chelsea

According to the latest news within the last hour from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal’s official bid for Chelsea forward Kai Havertz will follow soon. It’s thought that the Gunners will test Chelsea’s £75m valuation, with the Blues understood to be flexible with their asking price.
This whole saga came as a shock to many fans, myself included. It was believed that the club’s transfer priority was to sign some midfielders and a defender for depth, not an attacker. However, when you think about it, the deal does make sense.
So long as Arsenal keep to their wish of signing some midfielders and a new midfielder to tighten up their squad depth, then Havertz would a great additional signing. He has plenty of experience on the big stage, even scoring the only goal in Chelsea’s Champions League final to grant them the Champions of Europe status.
Arsenal will open official bid for Kai Havertz
Havertz was Chelsea’s leading goal scorer last season in what was a season to forget for the Blues. Under three different managers, it was Havertz who emerged as the diamond in the rough at Stamford Bridge. It’s no coincidence that Real Madrid were previously interested in signing him.
Personal terms will not be an issue as Kai Havertz would like a new challenge at Arsenal under Mikel Arteta. Having been beaten by the Gunners twice last season, Havertz would know better than most that Arteta has the cogs turning at Arsenal finally, and he would like a piece of that action.
